The Participation and Environment Measure for Children and Youth, or the PEM-CY, is a new measurement tool designed to help parents, service providers and researchers better understand the participation of children and youth, ages 5 to 17. Call for Abstracts for a special issue of Children, Youth and Environments on Greening Early Childhood Education. The purpose of this special issue is to explore settings that provide nature experiences for young children, with attention to the effect that these initiatives have on the holistic development and environmental awareness of the children involved, their teachers, and staff.
