International Panel on Juvenile Justice (IPJJ) Newsletter July

This edition of the International Panel on Juvenile Justice (IPJJ) Newsletter announces that IPJJ database now includes films and videos as well as the wide array of tools and resources in the area of justice for children, from UN reports to experts’ opinions, from meeting outcomes to planning tools. The newsletter's focus is the High level Conference on Justice for Children in Europe and Central Asia.

The IJPP July Newsletter focuses on the High level Conference on Justice for Children in Europe and Central Asia in Brussels on 27 and 28 June 2013 hosted by The European Commission and the UNICEF Regional Office for CEE/CIS.

This regional conference brought together some 120 justice ministers, ombudspersons, experts and participants from civil society, international organisations and the European Commission. The overall goal of the conference was to contribute to enabling those involved in justice for children at regional and national levels to accelerate juvenile justice reforms and to improve equitable access to justice for all children.

A new UNICEF - European Union report was launched at the conference. This report describes the most significant advances made in the development of juvenile justice systems in the CEE/CIS region over the past decade, and the most important challenges remaining.

The newsletter also includes upcoming events and:
