Key Institutions

The Childwatch International network is a network of institutions and associations involved in interdisciplinary research on issues relating to children’s rights, development and well-being. Key Institutions carry out research on and with children and are committed to a common agenda for promotion of children’s rights, development and well-being. The Key Institutions have individual profiles, differing history and background, scope, size and organisational structure. A format for Key Institution profiles has been developed to highlight some important features of the institutions' research activities, and to facilitate easy communication and information exchange.

Representatives of the Key Institutions meet every three years at the Key Institutions meeting to discuss issues connected to network activities and to develop strategies to pursue application of research to policy and practice and mutual capacity building through collaboration.
