Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children

The Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children aims to ensure that the recommendations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child and other human rights bodies are accepted and that governments move speedily to implement legal reform and public education programmes to eliminate physical punishment.

The Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children includes in its website a page on research where research studies about the effects of coporal punishment. It also includes descriptions of some of the significant studies that have been carried out to date about children's views and experiences, recent research on how often children are hit and statements by children and their organisations.
