Reports to: The post holder will be expected to be based in either the School of Psychology or the School of Social Work and Social Policy, and will have a reporting relationship to the Head of the relevant School
Salary: Depending on qualifications and experience, this appointment will be made on either the Professor/ Associate Professor salary scale at a point in line with current Government Pay Policy.
The Children’s Research Centre in Trinity College Dublin undertakes multi-disciplinary policy and practice-relevant research into the lives of children and young people. Trinity College Dublin invites applications for the permanent full-time position of the Professorship in Childhood Research / Director of the Children’s Research Centre. This position is jointly funded by Allied Irish Banks and Atlantic Philanthropies.
The person appointed will play a central role in continuing to develop the College’s high quality research interest in the field of children’s research and, as Director of the Children’s Research Centre, the appointee will be responsible for the leadership and sustainability of the Centre, along with forging strong links both nationally and internationally with researchers, service providers and policy makers in the field of child and youth research.
S/he will be responsible for ensuring and managing collaboration with longitudinal researchers in TCD, ESRI and elsewhere on Growing Up in Ireland and related studies.
