More than 150 participants from 22 countries, working in government ministries, development organisations and NGOs gathered for two days of presentations summarising rigorous evidence from randomised evaluations of education programmes. Topic included:
- What do we know about improving school participation.
- Teacher characteristics, school governance, accountability and incentives.
- What have we learned about enabling learning?
- Supportive learning through technology
The conference concluded with discussions on directions on future research and a panel on how best to scale up successful interventions.
